David Haskell is an innovative continuous improvement (CI) coach, a philosopher and essayist.
David’s father was a pastor in The United Methodist Church. His mother had a career as an administrator in Adult Education. Both parents served as missionaries in Malaysia.
Yet David was born in Chicago, shortly after the family returned from abroad. He spent his childhood at various residences in Lower Michigan. In 1994 he took a BA in History from the University of Michigan-Flint, graduating with high honors. He’s resided in Wisconsin since 1995.
David has shown a lifelong passion for learning. Focused on the “big” questions, his research includes philosophy, history and comparative religion. He also has 20 years of experience, working in manufacturing and conventional corporate settings.
The breadth of his education and extensive practice of CI methodologies (e.g., Lean and Six Sigma) round out David’s writing. He aims to convey deep, game changing insights, for many aspects of life and business.
In January 2017, David Haskell launched Table-13.com. The site features David’s own work and that of other bloggers committed to a vision of empathy, compassion and critical thinking.
